Lyon is a
UNESCO World Heritage Site

A city with more than 2000 years of history, Lyon is a vital European city, thanks to the richness of its architectural heritage, the diversity of its activities and by the opulence of its gastronomy.

Cradled by the Rhone and the Saône -- the two rivers that pass through it -- the city has found a balance between the conventional and contemporary, between idling by and hyperactivity. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is the link between the various major influences that have been encountered: religious bodies, architectural masters, Italian merchants, artists, politicians and, nowadays, even young urban artists.

Hotel near the I-Way and the Pathé Vaise Cinema

Still on a human scale, the city can be visited on foot, by bike, by bus or by boat. Each means of transport offers a unique point of view of the city with 2 rivers and 2 mountains. The hotel offers direct access to many areas of interest:

I-Way: simulation centre for racing and fighter aircraft
Just 5 minutes away from the hotel, I-Way is a unique simulation centre. Sat at the wheel of a Formula 1 car or in the cockpit of an aircraft, you will able to experiment with speed and experience the precision of your driving.

The Pathé Vaise Cinema
Also close to the hotel is the Pathé Vaise, where all the latest cinema releases (original and in French) can be watched.

Île Barbe Visit
In the middle of the Saône, a few hundred meters upstream from the hotel, Île Barbe offers a unique bucolic and medieval landscape. Part of the island is private but can be reached on foot. The public area is home to a vast expanse of grass with children's playgrounds and pétanque grounds.

Stroll along the banks of the Saône
The banks of the river Saône, just outside of the hotel, offer an exceptional verdant environment, meaning you can discover wild fauna and flora, as well as several urban works of art (on the left bank of the Saône).

Cruise on the Saône
A number of cruises are organised by Lyon’s river tourism companies. Day or night, if you want to sit back and float across the water or enjoy a romantic dinner, cruises are great for discovering the city from a privileged point of view.

Rowing
Three rowing clubs are located on the left bank of the Saône in front of the hotel. They all have launches and practice courses over short periods.
